Now I gave a couple example's You Sailors out there give me your example and I'll try to make a Photo for show and tell for all the landlubbers out there. KEEP IT CLEAN my 103 year old Mother reads my mail. You can send a Photo if you want . and if you want your Name and Duty Station published I will do it . And or your home town. When I'm not working on some ones Computer or
this Web Site, I work at Oceana Commissary Stocking Frozen food. I know it seems like a lousy job , but it's not. Working in the Commissary Store
has been an experience for me and my family, which by the way have all worked there at one time or another.
I grew up in a Southern Indiana town and I remember my Grandmother Mary America Brown ( Her name Indicates that she came over on a Boat) I never did ask. from where. I wish I had . The AMERICA in her name tell's me a lot. ( by the way one of her sisters first name was"America", I never got to know her or see her because she had died when she was a child .I just heard her name mentioned a couple of times.

My Grandmother would watch me while my Dad was at work, and I remember she would take me with her as she would collect  Tin Cans from the neighbors and turn them over to some guy, whom I found out later would turn them over to a Distribution Center (Recycle). The tin cans we're then recycled and reused for  many things to support our war
with Germany WW II . I don't believe my Grandmother was paid for her work, it was just the thing that everyone did back then. Collecting any Metal, Paper Cardboard Glass, any items that could be Recycled back then was . (CONTINUED)

about the New Service Uniform.
I remember when I was on Recruiting Duty, We tried out the White shirt and Black pants, and then the Coat and tie Uniform. I
didn't like it, at the time, I think because some of the old WW ll vets that hung out at my dad's bar use to say " What Service are you in" I thought you was in the Navy.
